Artsy friends would be a great asset to my life, I reck'n

I really can't put what I'm about to say in any other words besides, "OMG I'M SO HAPPY IT WAS SUNNY TODAY!" (classy, I know.) The weather has been crazy (ie hailing - yes, hailing - on Thursday), definitely giving Canada its much deserved stereotype of "always bad weather." Except for not really, because the weather was fantastic today!

Yeah, I fully intended to take nice pictures outside, but there's this little problem called daylight savings, where the sun decides to set before I even eat dinner. I'm not a fan of this predicament.

^ The flash was not in favour of my face. So, helloooo, hair!

(Floral Blazer - thrifted $5, Shirt - California $15, Shorts - Old Navy $3, Belt - Thrifted $1, Necklace - Value Village $2, Shoes - Old Navy - $8, Bracelet - Venice)

I'm hoping that the sun stays out this week and doesn't, say, drop the h-bomb (hail, guys, hail). Kind of ironic that the weather is finally warm and I'm not allowed to wear my kilt to school, because I refuse to lower it to my knee cap. Seriously, why, teachers, why?

Sorry for the lack of posts, this week has been crazy filled with field hockey (gold medal, baby! Does it even count if I barely played? Yes, I say so.) Hopefully more posts with weekends free of field hockey and therefore outfits besides athletic attire. Yay!

Hope you guys have a sun-tastic (yeah, that's right) week! Stay bright, cheery, and fabulous! :)

TRICK OR TREAT

What's not to love about Halloween? Dressing up? Free Candy? Spirit? Sounds like a day of fun! Okay, yes, I will admit that I'm a self-proclaimed Halloween dork. I eagerly shop for my outfit at Value Village. I coo at all the adorable little kids. I trick-or-treat instead of party. And I munch on candy for months (literally!). I love Halloween.

^A fat tourist in the sea of cutesy cats and cowgirls? I told you I was a dork.

I was so excited to finally find someone to go trick-or-treating with me. It's always been an event I look forward to. I wish I took a picture of my organization of candy (okay, every little kid sorts their candy into piles!), but I guess that's a little embarrassing.

I literally was out, door-to-door, until the last possible minute!

I love candy so much that, last year, I decorated my laptop with candy wrappers! Yummy!

I feel like this post is on the verge of embarrassing, but I don't have any shame. Halloween is probably one of my guilty pleasures. I was pretty let down this year by the lack of dressing up (ahem, wearing a mask with your regular clothes is not a costume!) and the lack of trick-or-treaters. I hope that Halloween isn't a dying holiday. I love it! And I love all your comments (har-har, I'm so sneaky at concluding). Posting will be slow this week, just as a heads up. So, boo-hoo (har-har, get it?! like, a ghost? Um..) Thanks so much for stopping by!

How was your Halloween? Post links to any pictures!

i wanna be a rock stahhhh.

I'll let you in on a little secret: sometimes after I get ready in the morning, I pretend that I'm so fly and glamorous, living in NYC. I'm about to rock Fashion Night Out, and hang out with the likes of Alexander Wang. I'm about to dance down Times Square and flourish in the city lights. I'm about to have my photograph taking for the Sartorialist! And then ... I remember that all I'm doing today is having brunch with the family and tackling an english essay and math assignment. Please don't tell me that I'm the only one that does this!

(Blazer - Value Village $7, Lace Top - H&M $15, Skirt - Homemade, Tights - DIY)

I always feel so cool wearing homemade clothes. I hope it's not a sign that I'm an egomaniac, or anything..

I'm always wrapped up in my own bubble when class gets boring (which is, like, all the time!). I pretty much always pretend that I'm in NYC. Sometimes high school seems petty, which is probably a really rich statement for a high school student to say. But I think that it's just that I'm really excited for the future! There's so much that I want to do with my life!

For all you fashionista friends out there, what crazy dreams do you have? Anything that has to do with this crazy industry called "fashion"? I'm really interested in what kind of dreamers you guys are! :) Thanks for stopping by!
